David and I played tennis for 2 hours last night. That's right. 2 hours of ball hitting in 100+ degree weather. I haven't been that sweaty in a long time.We have recently begun taking tennis lessons, and by "recently" I mean yesterday. It's actually a pretty sweet deal for these lessons that are twice a week. We start out with an hour lesson at 6:00. After the lesson is over, we go into "cardio tennis". It is pretty hardcore and another hour long session. I was really worn out at the end! The instructor hits balls to you constantly all over the court and you have to run or he will yell at you to "move it. move it. get it." I burned 1,187 calories and I feel really good about it. David rubbed my feet that night while we watched The West Wing DVD and I was in heaven. There's nothing like a great workout, and by "nothing" I mean these.

In the last tennis class I took the instructor accidentally sent a serve into my neck. That hurt.
I *pink puffy heart* West Wing!
and Federer is so sweet, he always seems so down to earth and genuine when they interview him on Swiss TV.
David doesn't like to run that much...although perhaps in his dotage he is changing.
I love TWW. Elise loves TWW. Are you guys borrowing from Steve?
David was schooling all of us. I kept on telling him that our teacher has a crush on David's forehand. He was gushing over David's "beginner" skills. Although I do agree with you Beth, he is definitely not the fastest runner on the team.
We borrowed TWW first season from Steve and we've been watching it like crazy. It's so clever!
Perhaps I should have clarified: David can run (which explains the base-bol years), he just doesn't like to...funny that he should choose tennis for fun.
But didn't he admit to tennis lessons as a kid? Also, base-bol skills make him a better tennis player than most beginners...but the YEARS of tennis lesson probably helped.
Now you understand why Elise and I were obsessed with TWW last year.
Fun Fun!! Here's to good workouts!! Maybe me & trevor should get out on the tennis court! Sounds like fun!! :0)
Where are you taking lessons? I am looking for lessons and a great instructor. Just not too pricey? Does that fit what you are doing?
