This year, I played the best April Fools joke ever! It may have to do with the fact that I waited ALL day to play the prank (and the anticipation got me all riled up) but it was soooo worth it. It was bedtime and while David finished up his homework before coming in to brush his teeth, I squeezed a little toothpaste out of his tube, pushed in a raisin and covered it back up. Perfect. Then I waited in anticipation with my phone handy and caught his perfect reaction as he came into the bathroom to brush. I don't know why it was so funny to me but I cannot have been more happy with the outcome (read: I laughed until I cried). {Other pranks I played: taped down my boss's phone receiver and then called her and watched her answer a dead phone (hee hee), taped a piece of paper on the bottom of her mouse so that it wouldn't quite move right (heard her mumble, "Da*# my mouse is dirty!")}

I am atrociously behind in my blogging. You probably all either hate me or love me for never posting anything. I thought it would make me happy to quit for a while but truth be told, I missed it a little. I've done some housekeeping around here but until I figure out how to make a cool blog, I will tell you about our St. Patrick's Day 2008.

I had never made corned beef and cabbage so off I went to the store to acquire the necessary items. We had predicted that since ASU is pretty much just full of drunks, that David would get out of class early and we could watch "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" (please see this movie) while we ate our dinner and celebrated with a pint of Henry Weinhard Root Beer. Alas, I spent 4 hours preparing our delicious celebration of the holiday and David didn't get home until 10 p.m. However, the meal turned out very well and David took the leftovers to work for 2 days straight. He gobbled it right up and made me feel very happy with his compliments. I might make it again next year.
