When I woke up this morning, it was around 70 degrees outside (a HUGE improvement). It felt soooooo good and I was almost a little bit chilly getting into my car. It got me thinking about how badly I want a porch to sit on and enjoy the nice weather overlooking my beautiful yard . . . kind of like this covered terrace.

Do any of you have a lovely porch I can relax on?

Some of the best things about this summer:

- 8 perfectly sweet and fully enjoyed watermelons
- weekend trips to the cabin
- swimming almost every day after work at the in-laws (or out-laws?)
- baby-sitting one of the smushiest, cutest babies around: Mr. Nicholas
- the last Harry Potter book
- reading the above said book at the sea
- lots and lots of BBQing
- Mt. Rainier cherries for $1.99 at Superstition Ranch Market
- anticipating my parent's arrival home from their summer mission
- monsoons at night
- David not having school

Some of the worst things about this summer:
- my geraniums died
- realizing a lot of my mistakes as a wife
- our electric bill(s)
