There's something so
splendid
about getting a haircut.

For the past week I have felt
no so good
about my appearance.
I've tried going to the gym.
I've tried revamping my wardrobe.
I've tried spending more time doing my makeup.
I've tried doing masks and exfoliating.
Yep, still ugly.

Then, my lovely cousin, Melanie,
gracefully
made me beautiful again.
She combed and clipped and pointed and sprayed.
She styled and magically -- I felt like a new woman.
Then, we talked about a darling 1940's
Michele Williams up-do, ate crisp chocolate chip cookies
and watched a Ginger Rogers movie.
Plus, my new hair smells like strawberries.

Ok, imagine what my hair has looked like for the last 8 months of my life and then add on some great layers and point cutting to give me some volume. Voila! There you go.
