Ok, exciting gossip today. The general manager, Francisco, came in today and called a meeting in the main kitchen for all the chefs to tell us that Jeff, the assistant manager, no longer worked with us as of two minutes before. It was a big scandal because the cocktail party they had the other night turned out to be a lot more than I thought it was. Apparently, there are some rumors that Jeff and Mrs. Wiener (Whiner) are having an affair and that is against the rules of conduct at the club. Then, there's Dave. Dave is a 20-year-old intern who Jeff gave alcohol to at the cocktail party. Dave got arrested after work for drunk driving. Bad news. Needless to say, Jeff definitely and deservedly got fired. It's so weird though because he's a really nice guy and doesn't seem like he would be that stupid. Interesting. Anyway, that was the big news of the day. Chad gave me a blackberry the size of golf ball (no exaggeration) today. It was delicious!
