To All My Democrat Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes.
To My Republican Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Okay that's hilarious and the perfect way of speaking for a few of my professors and most of my classmates this past semester! Merry Christmas to you to Liz!
Ahh you really should live in Seattle you know?! Merry Christmas
Haha, stupid Democrats!
Happy Holidays!
:)
Right back at ya, babe!
That is too funny!!! A very big MERRY CHRISTMAS to you! ( I am so bummed I couldn't come to the Thomas family party. Someday I will have to make sure it doesn't fall on the Lee family party. I miss seeing everyone at least once a year.)
Love it! Merry Christmas! One question...do you really have Democratic friends? Hope not! LOL
That was awesome! I got a good laugh out of it! I hope that you have a fabulous Christmas too!
Thanks to Mike and everyone else who knows me enough to realize that I was merely making light of situation that has offended a lot of people out there by forcing "Holiday Tree" instead of "Christmas Tree" and "Ha Ha Ha" instead of "Ho Ho Ho" upon some of us that would like to keep Christ in Christmas.
Apparently, I offended a couple of people and I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that I offended you but it was just a joke. I hope there's no hard feelings and that you can still see me as a "sweet girl" who was "poking fun".
I missed this? Darn. I love a good blog comment battle. The joke was perfectly inoffensive. I tell meaner Republican jokes on a regular basis. So, you go get 'em, Liz.
Not that the so-called "War on Christmas" isn't a Republican-constructed straw man argument designed to divert attention from actual issues. It is. But jokes are still funny. The biggest joke, of course, being the Romney campaign. ZING!
