Last night's American Idol premiere in Philadelphia made me think of my upcoming trip out there for work in two weeks. I've never been to the City of Brotherly Love and I'm a little nervous about it. I really won't be there for long (only 2 days) but if anyone has some suggestions as so something I have to see (or eat for that matter) while I'm there - please share.
Just make sure you have a good Philly cheesesteak. I don't have recommendations on the best place for one, but I find it satisfying to say that I've had a Philly cheesesteak IN Philly. Mmm!
(And then there is Constitutional Hall, Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin's grave, etc. And those are all within walking distance from each other and fairly quickly done. Too bad you won't be there tomorrow for Ben's birthday! Throw a penny on his grave like brides do for good luck!)
hi, i'm stacia, m's friend. i live in philly, so i thought you'd like a local's opinion: eat a cheesesteak at pat's (ask anyone, they'll know where to direct you,) or if you're in a "fine dining" mood, go to morimoto restaurant. if you have time, visit the franklin institute and the philadelphia museum of art. for pretty photo ops: society hill. good luck and hope you enjoy philadelphia.
Hi, I found your blog through "Oh Happy Day" and really enjoy your writing and sense of style. I lived in Philadelphia for a while and miss it now that I am gone. Worth checking out are Reading Terminal Market, the Rittenhouse Area for shopping, and of course, the National Constitution Center and Independence Hall. There's also the amazing Museum of Art and Boathouse Row. I hope you have a great visit!

its always between pat and geno's for the best cheesestake...I say go to both and have a taste off!!! you can find either place very eazy...have fun.
You should call Steph (Herring) Hoopes. She and her husband lived there for a year or two and her husband served his mission there too.
