First Roadtrip with Philip
Philip and I got back from New Jersey last night. We left on Saturday at about 2:30 and got back on Monday night at around 11:00 p.m. It was so much fun! We stayed with Christian and Stephanie and had a blast seeing them and the kids. On Sunday, we went to Manhattan and visited Philip's friend from prep school in the financial district. He works for J.P. Morgan and lives in a "wicked sick" (Boston for - "cool") apartment. Then, we went to church in the Manhattan Temple building. It was really cool and we both saw people that we knew. It was funny to walk down the busy streets of New York City and all the sudden be surrounded by people that you know from BYU or Mesa. Being at a Manhattan ward wasn't much different than being at an Ogden ward. It was great. We went back to NJ for dinner after church. Christian and Stephanie had created a grand meal that we enjoyed very much! On Monday, Christian took off work so we could go to NYC and we had a good time driving and walking around the city. Then, we dropped them off at the train station and drove back to Boston from the city. It was a lot of fun but not nearly long enough! I hope I can visit them again soon. Their house is darling and it's always a lot of fun to talk to Christian and Stephanie and play with their kids.
